Project Overview

This is a makerspace instructional project, meant to teach the basics of soldering, and to serve as a platform for handheld game development.

Tools and Materials

  • ESP32S2 Mini controller
  • Custom PCB
  • 240x240 TFT screen
  • 3 tact switches
  • 3D printed case


Step-by-Step Instructions

Solder headers to boards.

Solder boards together. Press in the three buttons, and solder.

Launch the Arduino IDE and open the Tamogotchi_Basic sketch. Connect the esp32 board via USB while holding down the boot button. Select the serial port which appears, choose Deneyap Mini S2, and click upload.

Place circuit board into case, and close with two 4-40x1/4" machine screws.
